Weekly Classes - Slow Mindful Yoga

Welcome to our weekly classes, where each session is a progression towards balance and mindfulness. Classes are held in a serene attic space, offering a peaceful retreat with stunning views of the rural landscape in Barcombe, near Lewes, East Sussex.

Class Philosophy: Classes are designed with a focus on metabolising stress hormones and restoring equilibrium to the nervous system. The intimate and friendly setting allows for physical adjustments and encourages mindfulness, helping you to stay present and aware of your body’s needs.

Class Size: Small groups of five, ensuring personalised attention.

Duration: Each session lasts for 75 minutes, providing ample time to engage in this holistic practice. Terms are booked in 8 week blocks. Drop ins welcome where space is available.

Anneliese is considered in everything she says and does, explaining with great care and clarity how each movement and position should be achieved and how it might make you feel. Even Anneliese’s voice has a calming timbre to it. She is also very personable and really takes the time to listen to and observe each student as an individual.

Classes are themed alongside each monthly Slow Sunday lesson. Themes are related to the De-Stress Your Midlife course on a rolling basis. The aim is to build upon skills and to advance your practice, empowering you to manage life’s ups and downs mentally as well as physically.

Session Breakdown

Warm Up: Gentle exercises to prepare the body and mind.

Asana: Strong poses to build strength and flexibility while also metabolising stress hormones.

Stretching: Release tension and improve mobility.

Followed by a combination of the following:

Pranayama: Breathing techniques to enhance respiratory and cardiovascular function and promote relaxation.

Savasana: Relaxation.

Meditation: Calm the mind.

Prices

Lessons are taught in 8 week blocks:
Regular Attendance £15 (booking all 8 lessons in a block)
Drop In or Block Booking fewer than 8 lessons in an 8 week block £17

Terms and Conditions: Regular attendees benefit from the ability to swap or make up missed lessons during the 8 week block. There are no refunds for missed lessons.
